On This weeks episode we got to have fun and be inspired as we listened to Michele Talk with Ryan Holland of Bc's Best Move. The Episode begins by going down an interesting side trail about using your home as a filming location. Michele talks about her experience in the film industry and how her homes have been used in various Films including The Haunting and the Lifetime Gotti Move 'My Fathers Daughter' and how putting your home on the BC Film Commission could be a great income opportunity for you!

Once Michele does her Big Introduction, we veer back to the topic of Moving and get to hear the inspiring story of Ryan Holland and how he started his moving company. From acquiring his first moving job by pulling over and asking a stranger if they were moving and wanted a quote, to renting over 30 moving trucks a month and soon buying his own fleet of trucks; Ryan proves that hard work, persistence and a positive work ethic really do pay off.

A few Expert tips for home owners that were shared are:

1.) When packing, Make sure that everything that can fit into a box goes into a box - This makes moving all little things so much easier.

2.) Always label your boxes by room - This way your items will stay organized and make it to their desired location.

3.) Let the movers do the moving - Some home owners want to help out, but this can actually make things more difficult for the movers. While the help may be well meaning, you paid for the movers so sit back, relax, and let them do what they are paid to do.

4.) Make sure that whatever company you hire is insured. If you have any important items that you're worried about, let the movers pack them. If they put them in the box then they're insurance will cover the items. If you pack them, their insurance wont cover it.
